A Living Room Facelift

Who doesn’t love a good makeover?

That’s what we thought. We have been evolving our living room design since we moved into the house. We get asked all the time what the house looked like when we bought it so we put together a few past to presents that show the cosmetic upgrades we've done.

When we started house shopping a few years back, we knew we were never going to find something that fit our vibe on day one. Each of us has our own aesthetic so we are always hard pressed to find a space or a product that we all love. In the end, we found a few common denominators to keep us from dividing over our design.

We’re warning you - the list is not long:

Shine – We. Are. Magpies. All of us. We can’t help it. That’s why our first rule of decorating is: More metallic is always greater than less metallic.
Tufting – It's not tough to love a tuft.
Cozy – Who doesn’t love to snuggle up with a big [faux] fur throw on a big comfy sofa???? We think this one probably applies to everyone.

That’s pretty much it. If it doesn’t have an element of shine or a high cozy factor it is not landing in our space.

We lucked out and found a blank slate: Beige carpets, white walls, not an ounce of metallic. We moved in and unpacked the shine.

So here it is - from beige & bland to metallic & glam!
