About Us
Oh, Hello
Welcome to the Tipsy Unicorn! We have a ton to catch you up on, so grab a drink and a seat and let's spill some tea… or better yet, rosѐ (it's brunch somewhere, right?)
This is us. The tipsiest of the unicorns: Betsy, Malory, & Trisha (left to right in the picture, not necessarily order of tipsiness)
First things first. Who is this Unicorn, and why is it so Tipsy?
We're all the unicorn. The unicorn is our happiest version of ourselves - the one we only see in the future or in retrospect; but rarely in the mirror. Not to say that past you wasn't phenomenal and future you isn't going to be even better, but the idea of the Tipsy Unicorn is to find and celebrate all the things that make us great here & now…Including our "flaws". All too often we allow some miniscule little thing can completely undermine our own self-worth.
Our objective here is to enable our readers - and ourselves - to embrace the "flaws" that weigh us down and let those tipsy unicorns within rise up from a cloud of glitter laden dust.
Yep - we realize that we're a little extra.
Second things Second. Who are you Unicorns?
Finally - we thought you'd never ask! We are Betsy, Malory, & Trisha - three sisters living in San Diego, California. Despite pulling from the same genetic goody bag and being raised by the same parents in good old, Wisconsin, our interests could not be more different.
Betsy is an musician and make-up artist (check her out using this shameless link: www.bellezzabybetsy.com) with a knack for baking. Malory is a nerdy engineering type who lives for anything tech, travel, and home reno DIY projects. Trish is our style force, fun expert, and adds that certain je ne sais quoi to everything we do. See? We're on absolute opposite sides of the spectrum. But we thought if we took everything we all have to offer mix it all up, throw in a dash of glitter we could create one majestic, tipsy unicorn.
The thing is… we're not experts in everything and we won't pretend to be. We're not polished or perfect. But we love pushing our own boundaries and taking on new projects. Sometimes things turn out great; other times they go a bit sideways. Either way [hopefully] we can inspire eachother to try something new.
